The Queen of generosity and good vibes couldn't be a better way of closing this day.
When you are gifted with voice or ability of playing an instrument
that can speak to people, you gotta be able to share. It's about
generosity. It's not up to you to keep it.
The song always speak to people because where it comes from is the place of light that doesn't belong to you, that we can't sell, you can't predict, we don't know when it's gonna come (...)

strawberry gin
Speaking of rum... how about strawberry gin? There is this lovely cocktail booklet from Café de Abejas... Good. Drinks. Good. Songs.
... soul wrapped in steel
you never can feel;
the less you conceal,
the less you reveal;
the winds in your rigging
are desolate, lonely and few.

off-duty vibes
March seems to kind of disappear from my calendar. Literally. Nothing bad about it though... Enjoying my time off with good vibes from Kris Berry. Rum and coca-cola perhaps as well? Anyone?

connectors | openers
So it's been now two years of good vibes. 366 posts of good blends. And the last two weeks when the reality seemed to be more oneiric than ever, getting me right to my very guts and opening my chest several times.
For most of human history musicians, artists have been part of the community, connectors, openers (...).

standstill
Bruner says she was inspired by the tug of war between our animal
instincts and the need to conform for survival. "I thought it would be
exciting to have animals star in a story that looks to explore the
conflicting desires that stem from wanting to develop culturally, which
at times can lead to feelings of frustration and confinement, while also
needing to tend to our basic primitive longings." (via npr.) Hem's new album is out in April.

setting standards
This is the album that started it all thirteen years ago, it was the
first Dune Music release and the album that has set the standard ever
since. When Nu Troop recorded Migrations they were simply the finest and
hardest-swinging straightahead jazz group in the UK. If
you haven't heard this album make sure you spend some time with it now,
it packs as strong a punch today as it did when it was recorded. (via Dune Music)
