I am now very happy to see how accurately their retro-circus sounds blend with the visual.

Paula and Karol (Paula i Karol in Polish :)). I discoverd them accidentaly last spring wandering and getting lost in the vast bandcamp website. They really cheered up my spring. This year they seem to do that once again. The Guardian called them Poland's superheroes as it's quoted on their bandcamp site. They are my heros today as they wash away all the tiredness from me. How come I missed their appearance at SXSW? Oh, yes, I remember, it was insane. And is it just me or does Paula look a bit like Alanis?

Kobiety | Women

I badly misjugded the popularity of Mirel Wagner. So only a few hours before the concert did I find out I was left with no ticket. The show was sold out! Well, of course. She is good and that is why I was planning to see her in concert :). But my short holiday took me away from the reality of concert booking. Mirel certainly would set me in a meditative, blues mood. Therefore, being already dissapointed with the lack of ticket, I decided to reward myself with a set of a total different sounds instead. On International Women's Day, Kobiety seems to be a proper choice. As a bonus a slick and probably the simplest video ever was served. Satisfied. I am not very demanding today.

It was simply ridiculous. The height of snowdrifts in the city was almost impossible to get through today. Plus the wind. Oh, joy. Well, in fact it was a jolly evening (even though I got a bit of a sinking feeling due to the works of  Elina Merenmies I went to see). Luckily all that was in a good company and ended in lovely Arkadia Bookshop with a witty concert of Catself that brought somehow Julia Marcell to my mind. For more music of Catself click here.
