You may come full circle and be new here again as Gil Scott-Heron sings. So let's end the SXSW theme by making a circle and having a closer look at Tashaki Miyaki. We don't know much. I thought she's just a girl but it turned out to be actually a duo. From LA but released by a British label. People hear echos of Best Coast, Cults, Karen Carpenter, John Lennon and Jesus and The Mary Chain. I hear Beach House. They definitely know how to pick up a good song for a cover (below and somewhere else) and a good director for a video (above). Good and black and white. It all makes sense.
